The Service for Predictive Informatics within the Department of Medical Physics has an opening for a computer vision scientist at the Assistant Attending Level (equivalent to Assistant Professor). At MSK, we develop advanced computational solutions for clinical use to improve cancer care and to advance the field of cancer treatment. Applications include, but are not limited to, tissue and tumor segmentation using Deep Learning methods, classification of tumor types from imaging features, quantification of semantic image features, and longitudinal tracking of tissue changes following treatment.
The ideal candidate should have:
A PhD in computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, medical physics, or a related discipline
A strong computer vision/image analysis background and research focus on image-based applications
Broad interests in computational medical imaging research and the development of new solutions for clinical cancer care problems.
Interest in participation in mentoring activities for residents, fellows, and students in clinical development and research projects
Strong interpersonal, analytic, writing and verbal skills
A demonstrated ability to produce high-quality publications in scientific journals
