Position Summary: The School is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor who can teach effectively in the area of Social Policy.
The preferred candidate should be able to:
Develop curriculum, teach policy classes and advise students at the masters and doctoral level
Be devoted to excellence in classroom and on-line teaching
Possess a developing research and/or policy agenda, and have experience with grant-funded research
Experience & Educational Background:
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in policy practice in advocacy or government practice, policy analysis, social/public policy research, and/or university teaching
The candidate should hold a PhD, JD, DPH, or other terminal degree in a policy-related field
We are especially interested in someone with significant experience in one or more areas relevant to social policy and social work practice including child welfare, aging, health care, behavioral health and addiction care, education, civil rights, welfare benefits, or disaster policy
