Interventional Radiographic Technologist: assists an interventional radiologist, or performing physician, in performing diagnostic angiographic procedures and completing complex vascular and non-vascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. The interventional technologist will review and/or recording pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data, and always act as a resource to enable the scheduling of appropriate procedures and protocoling the exam with the performing physician. Perform appropriate clinical procedures and obtaining a record of anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician. The interventional technologist is responsible to assist the supervisor in room equipment evaluation and supply ordering and billing procedures. The interventional technologist must be competent to operate all hospital radiographic equipment to obtain optimal radiographs of designated portions of the body to aid in diagnosis of disease. Basic knowledge of computer systems use in interventional Radiology. Direct responsibility for adult, pediatric and neonatal care until patient is returned to patient room or until outpatient is discharged. Must have sound knowledge of all special procedures performed in the radiology department. Directly responsible for maintaining the equipment and supplies required for performing special procedures in the department.

Thorough knowledge of radiologic technology, terminology, practice, procedure, physiology, & human anatomy
Preferred: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology &
