The Technician B will provide general research support in a Molecular Medicine laboratory involving animal studies.
Perform mouse dissection for collection of tissue samples and bone marrow cells.
Perform mouse genotyping, tail vein injection, blood glucose and lipid analysis, and CBC analysis.
Assist with flow cytometry including work on FACS and flow cytometry analysis.
Perform other techniques such as real time quantitative PCR, Western analysis and fluorescence confocal microscopy.
Order supplies/reagents for a large laboratory.
Organize and maintain supply inventory, laboratory equipment.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety and lab safety guidelines.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Previous experience working with flow cytometry on analysis of bone marrow cells and peripheral blood cells
Participation in Medical Surveillance Program required
