The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time Neurorehabilitation Data Analyst and Engineer to perform tasks related to a broad scope of investigational research studies focused on functional imaging and stimulation (TMS) of the human brain and human movement protocols.
The applicant should have a Master's degree in neuroscience, bioengineering, physics, computer science, statistics or a related discipline with a strong interest in biomedical research. A background in or prior experience with kinematic and physiological data acquisition, analysis or processing, modeling and simulation, or numerical analysis is highly desirable. Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
The duties will involve the application of established kinematic and physiological analysis methods, participation in the development and validation of new acquisition and analysis methods, and tasks related to data visualization and interpretation. The position requires coordination, execution, and completion of complex tasks that are critical to research outcomes. The position will be a member of a new laboratory specializing in recovery of motor function after stroke, including multimodality imaging studies, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and EEG. A Master's degree is required.
