The Admission Counselor/Assistant Director of Admission will assist in and be responsible for all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process including, but not limited to - fall and spring domestic recruitment travel, requiring professional and research based territory management; counseling prospective students and parents throughout the college application and selection process; assisting guidance professionals, faculty, alumni/ae, and prospective students and parents to better understand the college's mission through personal interviews, group presentations, and extensive follow-up communication; conducting thorough application review of admissions materials and providing decisions in a timely fashion; assisting in all recruitment related events both on- and off-campus, while representing the college with the utmost of professionalism. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Title dependent upon level of experience. This position reports to the Director of Admission
QUALIFICATIONS: Reporting to the Director of Admission, successful candidate will have a Bachelor' s degree and between one (I) and three (3) years experience working in admissions, higher education, or a related field. Must have demonstrated public relations skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required and candidates must demonstrate acute attention to detail, strong organization and problem solving abilities. Extensive travel with evening, night, and weekend work required. Knowledge of EnrollmentRx (enrollment management software on a Salesforce Platform), Image Now (document imaging software), and MS Professional software packages are beneficial. The successful candidate must have had a valid unrestricted U.S. Driver's License for one year, and maintain throughout employment an insurable (as determined by the College's insurer's criteria), or the successful candidate must have a satisfactory driving record; successfully complete and pass the College's vehicle training program within the first 60 days of employment; annual or more frequent review of employee's driving record based on the College insurer's criteria; and safety training as required by management.
