The Department of Biological Sciences at Oakland University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Biochemistry. Competitive applicants will have a Ph.D. in biological or biomedical sciences and at least three years of postdoctoral experience in a relevant field with a strong record of success exemplified by high quality research publications. Successful candidates are expected to establish a robust biochemistry related research program addressing questions about fundamental biological processes. Accordingly, vigorous extramural funding as well as undergraduate and graduate (MS and PhD) student mentoring are expected. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to biochemistry. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Laboratory space and competitive start-up funds will be provided. Review of applicants will begin after October 1, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
