Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to work in a service/research role within the Proteomics Core.
The successful applicant will be a Ph.D. scientist with responsibilities fully defined based on the successful applicant's area of expertise. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work under direction of the existing Proteomics Core staff. Specifically, the successful applicant will be expected contribute to: interaction with core users, organization of samples and project materials, protein isolation and processing for mass spectrometry, and analysis of proteomics data including generation of user reports. Interest or experience in project method development is viewed positively. Expertise in LC-MS approaches and associated bioinformatics is desired but is not a requirement. Expertise in biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemistry, and/or related fields is required. A publication record with evidence of independent and/or collaborative publications is desired in one or more of the following areas: protein enzymology, analysis of protein expression, affinity purification, analytical chemistry, and method development.
